Johnny thinks he is a hero because when he got arrested he kept cool and calm when they placed him in jail for something Two-Bit did, but he knew already that Two-Bit did it at that time, he just didn't want to turn him in. Yes I think Dally is a hero based on what he did because not many people would go to jail for another person, most people would call that person out instead of themselves going to jail.

4. Why does Pony realize he doesn't like Dally? Can you explain what he means by this?
Ponyboy realizes that he doesn't like Dally because Dally doesn't treat him with respect and doesn't like him.

poem is saying? How might this apply to the characters in the novel?
I think the poem is saying that if something is worth it, it can't stay or if something is good, it won't last for long. I think this might apply to the characters in the novel by that if they have something good started, it won't last to long (ex. everyone thinks that Johnny is in a good condition before he kills Bob and that everything will be ok, but Johnny dies from being burned. So they thought that since Johnny was good, nothing could happen, but he lost his life).

10. Who's the spy for the greasers? Does this surprise you? Why or why not?
The spy for the greasers is Cherry Valance... a Soc. This doesn't surprise me because Cherry likes Ponyboy and doesn't want him getting into any trouble.

Also if they turned themselves in instead of running away from their problem they could not get into alot of trouble and maybe get a couple months sentence in jail instead of a death sentence.
